OK, you read the title of this post and your eyes are already glazing over.

I get it.

I'm sick of hearing from "gurus" about how we're doing Adwords wrong, and how you need a specialist to help you. Don't fall for it.

The first thing to know about Adwords is that no matter how many clicks you get from it, your website better be good enough to hold a potential client's attention. The second thing to know is that text ads don't work well any more.

Please, I beg you, do not use Adwerx. They're a middle man, and they upcharge you for every click. Learn how to do Adwords on your own. Above is an example of a display ad I created for an Adwords campaign.

Adwords can be great for attracting leads if your website is not ranking well in search. My strategy starting out years ago was to get leads, make some money, and then work on the SEO.

I'll be creating a video tutorial that will show you step by step how to create a display ad campaign, that looks great, using some of the new Adwords tools Google is providing us.
